Pelvic floor PTs help pregnant mothers manage common pregnancy symptoms like lower back pain, pubic symphysis pain, sciatica, pelvic pressure, urinary incontinence, diastasis recti, and hernias.
In the third trimester, therapy expands to perineal massage and personalized birthing posture guidance, ensuring thorough preparation for delivery.
孕期盆底物理治療包含阶段性評估,并針對性給予運動處方,從呼吸訓練、深層核心訓練、到產前的分娩姿勢訓練等,都涵蓋在孕期盆底物理治療中。另外,盆底物理治療師能为準媽媽們保駕護航,治療並減緩出現的症狀,常見的如下背痛、恥骨痛、坐骨神經痛、墜脹感、漏尿、腹直肌分離、疝氣等。

Postpartum pelvic floor check-up evaluates scar tissue (C-section/tears), three-layer pelvic floor muscles, diastasis recti, and musculoskeletal function in the back/pelvis area. A phased rehab plan is then created to prevent prolapse, incontinence, or dyspareunia.
Contrary to myths, pelvic heaviness is not "normal" for mums. "Common" ≠ "normal" or "inevitable"!
Beyond recovery from childbirth, pelvic floor PTs design sport-specific programs (e.g., running/CrossFit) to help mothers safely resume what they used to love in lives!
產後六周可進行第一次盆底評估,包含傷疤組織(剖宫產疤痕/會陰撕裂)、三層盆底肌、腹直肌、腰/背/骨盆帶周圍肌肉骨骼等全面檢查。再來會根據每個人的情況,擬定階段性康復治療計劃;避免出現產後脫垂、尿失禁、性交痛等健康問題。除了幫助媽媽們回歸日常生活,我們會結合實際需要,比如恢復運動/跑馬/crossfit,按部就班爲其制定訓練,確保他們能安全、擁抱自己曾經的熱愛。

In general, our clients visit weekly/biweekly, and they're asked to do "homework" between each session.
For postpartum mums who doesn't have pelvic floor dysfunction, weekly visit is suggested for 6-8 weeks.
Since everyone is unique, it's hightly recommend to book an initial session with your pelvic floor PTs to have a holistic treatment plan of yours.
沒有特殊情況下,大部分孕期盆底物理治療頻率為1周1次,或2周1次,直至分娩前。
而產後媽媽們的康复周期更加因人而異,在没有其他盆底功能障礙的前提下,復診頻率也是1周1次,共需6-8周的时间。
以上頻率及周期僅供參考,具體需要評估後和治療師討論,制定個性化方案。

Our initial/follow-up appointment is about 60 min each. The initial session includes evaluation and treatment, home work (therapeutic exercise) will be given accordingly. 我們首診/復診預約皆爲60分鐘/次。首診包含評估及治療,每次治療后會給到相應的 “回家作業”(運動處方)。

If an issue with the pelvic floor is identified then an internal examination is recommended to get a more accurate diagnosis and assessment of pelvic floor function. Our pelvic floor PTs are specifically trained to perform these examinations however if you do not wish to have one that will not prevent her from developing a tailored management program for you.
